Peer Review Process

The Journal of Data Science and Education (JDSEDU) implements a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific contribution of submitted manuscripts. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to maintain objectivity and fairness.

All submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated by the editorial team to ensure alignment with the journal’s scope, formatting requirements, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that pass this initial screening are then assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

Reviewers are requested to evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, relevance to the field of data science and education, and contribution to knowledge. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions: accept, accept with minor revisions, major revisions required, or reject.

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ comments within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation if necessary. The final decision rests with the editor.

JDSEDU is committed to ensuring a timely review process. The average time from submission to initial decision is approximately 2–4 weeks, and from submission to publication is typically 6–10 weeks, depending on the revision process.
